Many men and women that endure from hair loss often have low self confidence. Genetics, aging and hormonal instabilities all contribute to hair loss. Nevertheless, people who suffer from baldness or thinning hair, have numerous hair loss solutions to choose from.
For balding men, Propecia (generic name Finasteride) is the only obtainable doctor-prescribed hair loss treatment. The Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) hormone causes baldness and this drug takes down the levels of this hormone. Propecia can reduce DHT levels by 60 percent, when consumed daily. Roughly half of all men who consume Propecia regrow hair on their scalps.
The nonprescription drug Minoxidil (Rogaine) is available for males and women suffering from hair loss. Research indicates Minoxidil works in about one out of every three men who apply the product twice daily. While the five-percent strength is not recommended for women, some physicians will prescribe the higher concentration. Patients applying the higher dose enhanced their hair growth.
Organic supplements are also favourable hair loss treatments. Supplements such as flaxseed and primrose oils contain essential fatty acids that make hair look thicker and healthier. Vitamin B3, B5, and B6 also accelerate hair growth. Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Coenzyme Q10 stimulate hair follicles to enhance scalp circulation. Zinc, Kelp and Copper boost immune functions, aiding hair growth.
Another hair loss treatment that is available is laser hair therapy. This hair loss treatment uses low-light lasers to restore damaged hair cells. Research suggest that roughly 90 percent of patients regrow hair. Laser hair therapy also prevents additional hair thinning and loss.
Currently, more hair loss treatments are available to treat male-pattern baldness. However, researchers are conducting studies to further understand which hair loss treatments work best for women. While many options exist, early intervention is the key to improving hair loss and regaining self confidence.

Not that I eschew drama, but life can be lonesome without a date. Here’s the scoup, last night I ate a whole bag of Oreos. As a coping mechanism of datelessness, surprise! You better believe it was great. Am I crazy? Actually, that’s when I first looked into joining a dating service in Dallas or Denver.
Nothing that can’t be fixed. Figured I’d boost my dating life at a professional dating service, Denver Great Expectations. That never sounded better. My dating life is worth bringing up. When I was a little tipsy at Julie’s soccer finals in Denver this afternoon, Mom wanted to know if I’ve met my one and only. I don’t know why they even care. I didn’t want to answer, but then laughed, “No.”
Even Cousin Terry kept pressing me about my personal matters. I said to the family gang: “Hey look, my romantic destiny is right over there!”
Can you believe this? They smiled politely. Perturbed, I rang Margaret to put my dating woes behind me. Why can’t I stop thinking about this! I would have learned more by asking my son. Chuck, who recently moved to Italy advised that I sign up for Great Expectations. I said, “That’s what I was going to do.” But it really was a good idea. I love this dating service full of fun and desirable Dallas singles.
Early on, dating services were kinda foreign from my perspective. I showed up already a little anxious, so much so that I got a little queasy. This emotional anxiety did not put an end to a great time. That night I enjoyed was bursting with excitement. The truth is I’ll never forget all the honest, desirable singles.
It’s been a pleasure to party at these splendid Dallas singles nights with Great Expectations, I bumped into a collection of dynamite friends who I could tell feel as excited as I am when it comes to dating. Can’t imagine why I used to let so many people give me a hard time about being single. Awesomely enough, mingling with Great Expectations is a good time and like a dream come true.

I don’t really know if this is a word that is used a lot any more by teenagers even though I have been the recipient of the term on a couple of occasions when my granddaughter wasn’t especially pleased with the instructions I had given her. The thing that brings “whatever” to mind right now is the African Gray parrot that is sitting on the door of her cage about six feet from me. Yep, that’s what she’s saying… “Whatever…” - preen, preen - “Whatever…” - scratch, preen - “Whatever…”
Oh, she says a lot of other things, too and is especially skilled at duplicating certain sounds such as “good belch” and “bad gas”. Hey, I’ve never claimed that she wasn’t totally tacky at times. Wonder how she learned that stuff? Certainly not from me…
Back to “whatever”. I suppose I’ll have to take at least part of the responsibility for that one because I do use the word periodically. Oh, not in a snide, sarcastic way. More in the sense of, “Well, that’s OK and if that’s the way it’s to be, we can work with it”. I guess it comes under the heading of flexibility. I’ve found in the years that I’ve trod this good planet, that many of the things we experience are beyond our control. Oh sure, we can have a lot of influence over what happens in our lives and in truth, the amount of effort we expend in building these influences will almost certainly determine how successful we are in reaching our goals. But control is a different story entirely.
That’s why I’m really partial to the “whatever” word. If situations develop that mesh with my desires or objectives - great! If they don’t… well, “whatever”. I’ll come up with a way to work it out. If people act or respond in ways that are in line with my moods or thought patterns - great! If they don’t… well, “whatever”. If the car keeps running, the traffic flows smoothly, the weather is mild, the lines are short, the fish are biting, my favorite team wins, the steak is tender, the movie is enjoyable, the news is good and the conversation stimulating - great! If not… well, “whatever”.
It’s good to sometimes just go with the flow - to be able to flex with the situations that develop in our lives. It helps make life just a little easier. And the noisy bird who has now launched full force into her repertoire of sound effects? “Whatever…”

Many of my coaching clients are coaches themselves, and quite a few of them have asked me how to promote their coaching business online. Here is some of the information I have shared with them. Use these tips and ideas to promote your own coaching practice online, get more clients and make more money:
- Have a Professional Web Site. In order to attract online clients, you need to present a very professional image online. People who find your web site will equate the professional look and feel of the web site to your own professionalism, since the web site is the only piece of information they have to evaluate your business.
The web site should have professional look and feel and have information about your business, as well as your products and services. There should be a way for customers to contact you, as well as subscribe to your newsletter.
- Explain What You Do on Your Web Site. Not everyone knows what a coach is, so in addition to calling yourself a coach, make sure you explain what a coach does. For example, if you are a dating coach, explain that you help men and women find that one perfect person.
If you are a career coach, tell your web site visitors that you help them figure out the perfect career, and then you help them find a job that reflects their career choice. And if you are a business coach, tell them how you can help their business succeed.
- Publish a Newsletter. Not everyone who comes to your web site will immediately become a coaching client. Not everyone who comes to your web site will buy your products immediately. You need means to keep in touch with people who come to your web site, but are not ready to hire you or purchase your products.
A newsletter is a great tool to keep in touch with your web site visitors, share information with them and educate them about your products and services. Make sure that you have a newsletter subscribe form on every page of your web site, and that you offer a compelling reason for your web site visitors to subscribe to it.
- Optimize Your Web Site for Search Engines. Search engine optimization is the process of modifying web page content and meta-information to improve the search engine ranking of the page. Successful search engine optimization will greatly increase the number of visitors that come to your web site since over 70% of people who are looking for products and services use search engines to locate them.
- Publish Your Articles Online. Publishing articles is a great way to show off your coaching expertise, as well to drive traffic to your web site. When you write and publish your articles, other web site owners pick them up and publish them on their web sites, while giving you a link back to your web site.
Use the five techniques we outline above to drive targeted clients to your coaching practice. Effective promotion of your coaching practice online will make a difference between your coaching web site sitting idly and a coaching web site that drives leads and clients for your business every single day.
